Cheapest University in Atlanta

As The cheapest university in Atlanta I wouldn’t expect much from the, but sometimes more isn’t better, sometimes It matters about your availability. They can give you online classes, I liked that because I always find my self On the run. Also it’s only a $3,000 dollar school so it’s not super expensive to pay for. Their requirements for You getting in is a 2.0 GPA,and you must pass compass test

Also they offer work study for students That need more money for college. I think think work study is wonderful because You may lose your job or something may happen to your monthly income. Also they let You take your time with your semester classes because they have 18 week semesters. They Also have study abroad foe The people who like traveling.

About Emory University

The tour to Emory University was a interesting experience. We learned the requirements and what the dorms look like.

Emory is very particular about their enrollment process. When we were playing the “GPA Game” we either had to move up or down depending on what your card said on the back. Your goal was to be the top three students out of the nine applicants to get accepted into the school. The things that will make you stand out is your GPA, extra curricular activities, letters of recommendation, and your optional essays.

The dorm rooms are small to be shared among two people ,so you have try your hardest to keep things tidy. You have the option of a suite (two rooms sharing a quad bathroom) or a dorm with a community bathroom. The tuition per year is $58,000,so you must try to apply for scholarships. Overall the school is a beautiful sight.

About Spelman

While visiting I learned about the requirements, history of the school, and the opportunities the school offer.

The requirements to get into Spelman are to have a minimum GPA of a 3.6 and a ACT score of 24. You would have a better chance of getting accepted if you have extra curricular activities and leadership skills. In order to graduate you must have completed 120 credit hours and the certain amount of credit hours for your major.

Spelman College was founded in 1881 in the basement of Friendship Baptist Church by two teachers in Atlanta, Georgia. The teachers who founded the school came to Atlanta to educate former enslaved women.

Spelman is the number one school to send African American women to medical school. The college offers a Bachelor of Arts degrees; Art,Child Development, Drama and Dance,Economics, English, etc. The Bachelor of Sciences are Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Computer and information Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, etc. Spelman has a 80% four year graduation rate.

This is what I learned from the tour.

Too Big of a Campus!

Today I went to University of Georgia. It was a really huge school-about the size of a small city. I really liked it, but I think it was too big for me. I don’t like small campuses, but I don’t like really huge ones like that either! Things I like about this college is that there are MANY things students can get into, like sports, clubs, etc. SAT requirements is a 1400 & GPA minimum of 3.0 and demonstrated academic achievement. More than 1,600 students are taught through hands-on approaches by world-class faculty in Athens, Griffin & Tifton. Graduated students are prepared for careers with more than just classroom instruction. Internships, study abroad opportunities and student research programs prepare students for careers in applied agricultural, environmental and life sciences. Those are some of the things I like about University of Georgia. We guided ourselves on the tour so I didn’t learn as much as we did about the other colleges because we went without a tour guide today, but I still really like it, it’s just too big.
