Last Stop For KU

Today we went on our final college tour which was Keiser University. Keiser University has 17 different campuses throughout Florida and 2 international campuses, one in China and the other in Nicaragua. KU is a regionally accredited school which means the credits are transferable with another regionally accredited school. KU is one of Florida’s largest independent career universities. Students attending KU take general education classes and also classes related to their field of work. The best part about it is they only have one class per month which prevents stress over too many classes and also helps to stay focused on one subject. Each class is a hands-on experience and has a 12:1 ratio in class size. KU also offers online classes for students who wish to stay in their I home state but still wish to participate in one of KU’s programs. Keiser University also offers an Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in each field of study. Student schedules are built to fit their work days because students have class only 3 days a week from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. Keiser University was one of the best colleges I toured while in Florida and gave the best presentation. Their presentation made me actually want to attend their school and made me feel like I would succeed if I went there for school. If there was a such thing as a perfect school, Keiser University really sets the standard for that.

Keiser University

Today we visit Keiser University. It was a nice tour. The main majors they focus on is medical Which is the field I want to pursue.

The classes are relatively small about 12-24 people per class depending on the program. The classes run from 8am-1pm.At Keiser you have one class per month, so four classes per semester.

I really like the school it’s one of school of choices. It’s small and is a  hands on learning school. Also the tour opened my eyes in other professions as back up plans.

A Fun Adventure!!

Whoooooooo !! Whoooooo !! Today was BLAST ! Unforgettable memories and life changing information was heard ! Welcome to Teall’s broadcast on channel 3360 ! We are located in Daytona Beach , FL and the scenery is a sight to see ! Our tour went out with a bang ! After a long one hour on the bus, we visited Keiser University , and the experience on their campus left a good impression on me and my comrades. 🙂 KU is Florida’s largest , independent career university with associate, bachelors, and master programs. Did you know they had 17 different campuses? They are well known for their programs and have locations in China and even in Nicaragua ! Not only do they have small class sizes but they offer 4 classes per semester but u ONLY have to take ONE per month ! You can mentally focus on one class at a time. This college is very small and intimate for hands-on assignments so there is a 12:1 student-teacher ratio. Our tour guide Tara was such a joy and the simulation she created for us described my organized personality. The Numbers Game was a simulation to show their structured curriculum vs. an unstructured curriculum that causes a student to feel rushed and unprepared. Keiser University teaches their students to have better time management, good study habits, how to schedule your classes, etc. The Dean of Admissions explained two types of accreditation : national and regional. KU is a regional accredited with a level 6 accreditation, which is the highest level for a school to have ! Regional accreditation is the best and national accreditation is more technical. The programs they had to offer blew me away ! The most interesting programs were forensic science, criminal justice, occupational therapy, diagnostic medical sonography, and radiology technology. My favorite program was diagnostic medical sonography and the students perform ultrasounds on each other such as their stomach, chest , or other body parts. Pregnant women in the community come to the university to receive ultrasounds for students to get hands-on experience in their practice. This private school provides quality support and more to make future leaders. I love this university !

Our next adventure was to Daytona Beach ! I would love to live along the shore to go swimming and shopping all day long. Daytona Beach is more than just a beach , its a giant wave pool of fun with many things to do. Who wouldn’t want to play in the sand and ride the waves or see street performers while shopping ?! Just a day filled with unforgettable fun. Stay tuned next time for more.! 🙂

Very Last College

Today on July 18, 2014 we got on the road and went to visit Keiser University, one of the very last colleges. This college reminded me of Florida Tech in a way, everything was in one building, but Keiser University is a whole lot bigger and offers much more than other colleges typically would. See, Keiser University holds up to about 18,000 students and is one of the largest independent universities in Florida, I was astounded when I heard that. Keiser also has its own uniqueness to it, I say that because this college actually has you take one class per-month, yeah I said it, one class, so that means all your focus is just on one class, one homework assignment, one Final and one teacher. This college seemed like a dream come true because all my life I been taking all seven classes, and when I thought about, if high school is this stressful now, then that means college is going to be 3-times more stressful. That’s not the end of it though, Keiser also taught something vital, they taught me that I should for now on make sure the schools I will be applying for in the near future to make sure they are regionally accredited instead of nationally accredited, because if a unversity is regionally accredited then you’ll have a much better chance of getting a job out of college, but if the university you apply for is nationally accredited, and you end up going there, you can kiss that job you think your going to get out of college good-bye. So that’s what I learned at Keiser, and to calm everything down we went to Daytona Beach, which was cool, and I enjoyed myself.

Most Interesting School Thus Far

Today we visited Daytona Beach, FL and went to a wonderful college called Keiser University. KU is a regional college, which means that they have more options and they are much better they have the more fun and interesting classes. This college has seventeen campuses in Florida, one in Spain, and another in Nicaragua. They have four classes per semester and one class per month. So that way you’ll receive education one class at a time. There’s lots of hands on things/classes. This University has small classes because we get to know each other better and stay more focused so that students can benefit from it. Florida is the largest independent career university.

Classes include:
Networking
Designing
Health
Security
Nursing
Web
And so much more !

KU is largely due to the student centered approach and and the unique delivery of the degree programs. They also have online classes but not for the medical field. This university is at a level six which is the highest level for accreditation. At this particular college you are off Wednesday and Friday. You go to class three days a week from nine to one or eight to one. Overall this is a fantastic interesting hands on school.

FAMU Dean

While visiting FAMU I learned a lot about law and the history of the school. FAMU was separate but equal in 1949 because blacks couldn’t attend Florida University. By 1968 FAMU had it’s last class graduating class. In 2000 the school was reestablished , and in 2002 it had it’s first incoming class.

The Dean spoke to us today about what is a lawyer and what a lawyer does. Lawyers are suppose to follow the law and make a positive change to society. All lawyers don’t have to work in a courtroom. There are many field’s of law; Civil, Criminal, Entertainment, etc.

In my opinion if you plan on studying law FAMU will be a great choice for you. They help you study for the bar exam, and give you practice on what to do in a courtroom. Go to FAMU to receive the education you need.

Cheapest University in Atlanta

As The cheapest university in Atlanta I wouldn’t expect much from the, but sometimes more isn’t better, sometimes It matters about your availability. They can give you online classes, I liked that because I always find my self On the run. Also it’s only a $3,000 dollar school so it’s not super expensive to pay for. Their requirements for You getting in is a 2.0 GPA,and you must pass compass test

Also they offer work study for students That need more money for college. I think think work study is wonderful because You may lose your job or something may happen to your monthly income. Also they let You take your time with your semester classes because they have 18 week semesters. They Also have study abroad foe The people who like traveling.

About Emory University

The tour to Emory University was a interesting experience. We learned the requirements and what the dorms look like.

Emory is very particular about their enrollment process. When we were playing the “GPA Game” we either had to move up or down depending on what your card said on the back. Your goal was to be the top three students out of the nine applicants to get accepted into the school. The things that will make you stand out is your GPA, extra curricular activities, letters of recommendation, and your optional essays.

The dorm rooms are small to be shared among two people ,so you have try your hardest to keep things tidy. You have the option of a suite (two rooms sharing a quad bathroom) or a dorm with a community bathroom. The tuition per year is $58,000,so you must try to apply for scholarships. Overall the school is a beautiful sight.
